A sexual health consultant doctor at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As the most digitally connected and hypersexualised society in history, Dr Lauren Bull will take us on a journey of what we risk losing: the richness of authentic human connection. In a world where we can access porn at our fingertips, young people’s views of sex and pleasure are being reshaped, with honest, vulnerable conversations about intimacy, consent and pleasure missing from sex education. Drawing parallels between fast, efficient communication in the real world, and efficient KPI hitting in the clinic room, this talk will examine the role of the healthcare professional in all of this, and why meaningful connection matters: whether it is in the bedroom or the clinic room.
