DUKE AL

An award-winning spoken word artist, author, and creative practitioner who brings his unique style of storytelling to the TEDxNHS stage. Early in life, he began by scribbling down his thoughts; those scribbles became poetry, and poetry became a form of self-therapy as he navigated life with OCD and type 1 diabetes. In his talk, DUKE AL will share the transformative power of poetry, inviting us to discover its ability to heal, connect, and even awaken the poet within.

Lynda Odoh

A GP Registrar with a longstanding passion for promoting physical activity among young people and women. As both a doctor and a young mum, she has always looked for simple, practical ways to stay active amid the demands of work and family life. This curiosity led her to create supportive spaces and digital resources that encourage movement, from leading accountability workout groups during the pandemic to introducing energising micro-routines for busy professionals. She has also brought this energy into her NHS work, including leading a workplace micro-workout session at the 2024 Greater Manchester Mental Health Trust wellbeing week. At TEDxNHS, Lynda will deliver a performance-style workshop that redefines movement at work—no gyms, no change of clothes, no disruption, just small, practical moves that boost energy, focus, and workplace culture.
